Snow Days

What a disaster! Stories of people taking ten plus hours to get home from work or spending the night in their cars or wherever warmth could be found. And thousands of kids spending the night at their schools.

I left work a little after 1 pm and didn't have too much trouble. Thank goodness I didn't wait any longer and was mainly going against traffic. The guys that left around the time I did took 3+, 5+, and 10+ hours to get home.

Derek's bus was delayed and his usual 20 minute ride took almost an hour. The neighborhood elementary school bus never made it and some kids didn't get home until their parents picked them up late in the evening.

As the disaster stories started to come in we were so relieved that we were all able to make it home

Sleepover?

What the heck. Putting the healthy kick on hold. How often does it snow?

I got a chance to take care of a few chores. Helen's van stopped shifting out of park earlier in the week and she was having to use the shift lock release. Replacing the brake light switch fixed it.

Derek and his hockey bag turned my "L E G E N D" into a "  G E N D" last weekend.  I finally got a chance to glue the letters back on.
