Two Fits Are Better Than One

It was nearly 2 years ago when we decided to lease dual Nissan Leafs

Now, 2 years later, amidst all the other stuff we're doing, we had to deal with the 2 Leaf leases expiring at the same time. We really like the Leafs and decided to keep one of them, so earlier this month I worked out the deal and bought the grey Leaf and I'll be returning the black Leaf today.

We talked about several possible cars we might like to buy, but decided we really liked the Honda Fit we bought in February when our van died. So, a couple weeks ago, I worked out the deal for another Honda Fit and made an appointment to purchase the Fit at the end of the month. I went in yesterday morning and left in about 45 minutes with the new Fit.

We could have picked another color, but thought the Fit looks best in silver, so now Derek and Helen will be driving matching silver Honda Fits. When I asked Derek, rhetorically, "who does stuff like that?". He answered accordingly, "you".

We joked with Derek that the new car was faster because it has a pinstripe and his doesn't

Backyard Makeover Continued

The first 15 yards of mulch and 10 yards of dirt weren't enough. We had to order another 6 yards of each.

My Hawk Friend

I love this hawk who hangs around our area. Usually, it sits high up in the tallest trees, but sometimes you can catch it in action at our level. So beautifully graceful and quiet - when it wants to be. This picture caught it screeching away, which it does all the time. I hate to hear people's dogs barking, but I love to hear this hawk.
