| The visitor center was small and it was uncomfortably crowded so we looked around a little before heading back to Hilo. The stargazing might be a fun activity if the place was bigger and there were more guides and less tourists. |

| I don't know if it was the elevation at Mauna Kea, the undulating drive back to Hilo, or what...but I was very nauseous. I tried to visit some and not ruin Helen's birthday dinner, but I spent most of the time walking around outside trying to right myself. |
