On Saturday Adam had his last cross country meet of the season
Even though cross country required running 6 days a week starting this past summer, Adam really enjoyed it and plans on running track in the spring. Going to the school each day in the summer and meeting a lot of kids helped him feel more comfortable as a little freshman in the big high school.
He told us one day this week that he was walking through the halls and realized that he knows A LOT of people.
Adam wanted to celebrate his season by going to the school play and dinner
Derek had seen the play the night before with some friends and, although he thought the play was good, it wasn't good enough to sit through again.
Helen and I had been going to this restaurant for over 20 years when it was known as Royal Thai, but at some point it changed ownership and we quit going. The Royal Thai ownership re-opened as Royal Bistro recently and the word is out among the locals that were fans of Royal Thai.
This lady is the original owner. She recognized us and remembered when we used to bring the boys in when they were little. She spent a lot of time with us making some nice recommendations and talking about old times.
