BeltLine, Ponce City Market, Krog Street Market

Adam driving us downtown to the BeltLine

We parked on a side street near Ponce City Market

After walking around the market we tried to rent some bikes but they were all rented out

So we decided to walk the BeltLine towards Piedmont Park

It's a nice walk with plenty of people and things to see

Tiny Door

We walked around Piedmont Park

Adam couldn't believe how calm the park was compared to the crowds when he and Derek were there last month for the Peachtree Road Race

Lightning

We walked back to Ponce City Market and had some steamed buns at Simply Seoul

Honeysuckle Gelato

Usually the chocolate with salted caramel would be the winner, but the key lime pie sure was refreshing after being out in the heat

Back on the BeltLine, walking the other direction towards Inman Park

Again, lots of people out and about and plenty of interesting things to see

We were pleasantly surprised when we reached the current end of the BeltLine eastside trail and saw the Krog Street Market. We had been wanting to go there.

Adam didn't love the buns we had earlier at Simply Seoul and wanted to try the buns (baos) at Suzy Siu's

We had the pork belly bun and it was heaven

This group of young 20 somethings looked like they were having a lot of fun all afternoon

Adam joked that he didn't know what to feel worse about - that he brought old people or uncool people. I told Helen that this is what the boys need to be doing for the next 10-15 years and that there's no reason to come home with all this life to live.

We loved the beautiful restored houses and ambiance of Inman Park

We went back to Suzy Siu's for some more baos. The chicken and beef were good, but that pork belly (on the right) is the bomb.

We grabbed another iced chocolate drink at the XOCOLATL chocolate shop before walking back to Ponce City Market
