Man Cave

For years I've been trying to talk Adam into turning the playroom into a "man cave", but Adam insisted that he still played with all the toys. In reality he spends most of his time playing XBox and Minecraft and he held out because he's sentimental and doesn't want to grow up. Derek has been for the "man cave" all along and has been telling us we can trash anything in the playroom. He's older, but he's also not very sentimental.

Over the holidays we finally cleared out a bunch of stuff and made room for Adam's new computer, a TV, and the game consoles

We moved almost everything into the hallway, sorted through it, and selectively put things back into the room

The process of going through all the stuff was very emotional. There were a couple of van loads to Goodwill and lots of tears. It seemed like every item brought back special memories and it seemed like just yesterday we were originally painting the playroom for the boys. It goes too fast.

First sleepover in the new man cave

Here are some photos from when we originally painted the playroom and other various photos over the years

In cleaning up the playroom we went through a big bin of old dress up clothes and Halloween costumes and found some of our favorites from over the years

We got rid of the homemade puppet theater

So sweet with his friend Erin
