| Derek's bike has had a flat tire since before he broke his ankle last October. We kept asking if he ever planned to get it fixed and he would respond with ambivalence. Finally, with a little prodding from Helen, he loaded the bike into Helen's car (with my help) so Helen could take it to get fixed. |

| When he got the bike back from the shop he took it for a spin and decided that all the effort he exerted to get it fixed was worth it |
