Adam likes to make melted chocolate snacks This time he made a bunch and took them to the sleepover he had on Sunday. Monday was a furlough day for the teachers so there was no school. Adam was excited there was a sleepover because "everybody" was in, but he didn't like that it was at his friend Ryan's house. Last time he spent the night there Ryan's parents made them all watch "War Horse" and it was "really long and boring". Also, last time some of the kids wouldn't go to sleep and made it miserable for everyone else. Adam showed up back at our house the next morning with the whole sleepover gang and played some more. When they left, he was really cranky and told us that some of the kids wouldn't go to sleep again and kept everyone up all night. Throw in the time change, a hockey practice, and a football practice and he's had a hard time getting his feet under him this week. The furlough day was nice. Helen was determined that she wasn't going to do any schoolwork since they weren't paying her. Usually on the weekends she's cranky if she doesn't work because she's so swamped and cranky if she does work because she already works too hard and shouldn't have to work on weekends. |
