Getty Center

The Getty Center is huge. You have to park and take a tram up the hills.

We had planned to visit the Getty Villa on our first day but ran out of time

A beautiful place

Getting oriented

On to Universal Studios

We all enjoyed the studio tour, but it does take some of the mystery out of movie making

The big live action show

It wasn't too crowded and we got to ride most of the rides

Universal CityWalk

Adam likes to offer to take "honey" pictures

Yogurtland - just like at home

Griffith Observatory overlooking the city

Foucault Pendulum

We were too late for any of the shows, but it's our kind of place in that it stays open late. There were plenty of visitors and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the place was and how much there was to it. It would have been really neat to watch the sunset from there. The observatory is located in Griffith Park and the whole area seemed really nice. We were disappointed that we didn't get to spend more time there.

The view was beautiful. It was dark, but you could see the outline of the Hollywood sign on the hillside nearby. Adam claimed he couldn't see the sign and complained that he couldn't believe he went to Hollywood and never actually saw the sign.
