Georgia Coast (Day 3 of 7)

Getting ready to leave the King and Prince

Album for these photos

Statue of Neptune Small heroically recovering his master's body from the battleground. Love the heroism, but recognizing (in any way) loyalty to some master gives me the creeps.

Almost 25 years ago, happily ever after started when we had dinner at a Jekyll Island beachside restaurant, took a walk along the beach afterwards, and then I got down on one knee and asked Helen to marry me.

Too bad we can't remember which restaurant or where exactly that happened. We think maybe this one, but we're not really sure. Oh well.

We saw all these people walking way out into the water and decided to give it a try

Pretty far out. Hope the tide doesn't start rising.

Adam always gets these rock candy suckers whenever he sees one in a sweets shop

We drove about an hour to Crooked River State Park

Helen and Adam did a good job finding activities and places to eat for this trip

This place was filled with locals, which is usually a good sign

Clam chowder and crab cakes

Everything was really good. It's hard to find crab cakes like these that are all crab meat without a bunch of filler.

Seafood platter for 2 - so good

Winding down in the cottage

Not only did Adam not have to share a bed with Derek, he had his own room with his choice of beds

Some Ben and Jerry's ice cream before bed
