Our beloved dachshund, Lulu, died a couple days ago. She passed peacefully in her sleep in her usual spot under the covers on my side of the bed and against my legs.

We adopted Lulu in 2007. We had 2 labs, Bailey and Madison, when the boys were little, but the boys don't really remember them all that well. Lulu was THEIR childhood dog and they often playfully argued over whose turn it was to cuddle her.

She was slowing down more recently, but was still in great shape till the end. She always loved to go on long walks, especially to school and through the woods and creeks at Simpsonwood Park.

We adopted her in 2007 from a co-worker of Helen's. She was a few years old and had already had a litter of puppies with some lucky chihuahua.
