| After days of anticipation the snow event on our side of town was somewhat of a letdown It looks like everyone was trying to avoid a "snowmageddon" like last year. School was canceled yesterday even though the roads were fine and today we're the only northern metro county not canceled. Now the 2 snow days built into the school calendar have been used along with one additional day, which means Helen and the rest of the teachers will probably have to return to work after Memorial Day. |

| Helen and I went on a long walk in the falling snow. Derek made it out to the driveway to check things out, but Adam didn't think it was enough to bother even making an effort to leave the house. |

| Derek was able to catch up on some schoolwork like this Titration lab and the "The Great Gatsby" (which he said wasn't terrible) |

| Across town our nieces had more snow and more fun |
