Black Rock Mountain

Last week Helen and I did an overnight camping trip to Black Rock Mountain State Park

Back to the Nantahala Overlook in the campground for the sunset

There was a nice couple at the overlook, Pam and Mike, visiting from Louisiana. She was a recently retired teacher and they were looking for property in the mountains. We had fun talking until past dark about the area and trashing the state of public education.

Had fun talking to this retired music teacher about life, her move to the mountains, crafting, and how she loves her little orange Honda Fit like we love our little silver Honda Fit

Can you really build a life on good beer, good food, good coffee and pretty quiet places? It's worth a try.
