Adam and Aunt Laine in the bird room, which was really loud, because it was like you were in the cliffs surrounded by loud nesting birds

There were a lot of neat exhibits

I always feel bad about not exhausting all that places like this have to offer. I know the designers spent lots of time and effort, but there's only so much you can take in during a single visit. It's especially hard when you have a large group and everyone is moving at a different pace. Some people blow through in 20 minutes and others could spend hours.

Showing that the water level can change 25 feet with the local tides

Kelley bought this book for Derek when he was little. Both boys loved the book when they were little.

Outside for hike to the water front

We went on scenic drive above Homer to get a nice view of the Spit

Lunch at Fat Olives

Big thick anchovy slices with the ceaser salad

Everything was delicious and the service was excellent

Pratt Museum

Beautiful paintings by local artist Marian Beck

Neat exhibit about the Exxon Valdez spill

The exhibit was very in depth and you could listen to the original radio calls with the ship captain.

Well done exhibit about locals surviving near death experiences in the dangerously cold and treachorous waters

Back to the Homer Spit

A guy left his fish while he went to get his truck and the gulls had a field day
