July 4th and Peachtree Road Race

Helen and the boys having a pre Peachtree Road Race meal at Paizano's on July 3rd. I had a makeup tennis match down near the airport an hour away :(

Old Town Norcross celebration

Peachtree Road Race prep for the morning. Derek's friend, Jack, had to work so he gave his number to Adam. The boys were meeting a bunch of Derek's friends who Adam also knew from the cross country team.

Helen and I left about 6:30 to get to the usual family viewing spot. We brought along signs the boys made to cheer me on in 2005.

This was my first time at the race as a spectator. We had a lot of fun and we made a lot of noise cheering everyone on. I have blisters from ringing the cowbells the boys got at the race years ago. Everyone kept yelling "more cowbell" as they ran by. It's so much fun when the people in  the crowd get into the cheering.
