Walking over to breakfast at the Sunwapta Falls Lodge

Athabasca Falls

Pretty and loud

Jasper National Park

The town of Jasper

Cute visitor center

Sometimes the boys get tired of us reminiscing about how they used to do cute things like play on this train

Famoso Pizza

We really really liked this place

Gelato

The lodge didn't have laundry facilities and we were running out of clothes, so we did some laundry next door while we had lunch

Whitewater Rafting

There are several rafting companies in Jasper and they all offer the same trips. We walked around town trying to find spots for the Athabasca Falls trip, but they were all full so we took the shorter Athabasca River trip. The other trip looked prettier but we were happy about the shorter trip once we felt that ice cold water on us.

After the trip

I almost took my camera on the trip, but decided against it at the last minute. We had a good time and our guide, Katie, was a lot of fun.

Maligne Canyon

Maligne Lake

Helen said she thought she saw a bear as we were driving back to Jasper from Maligne Lake

Helen doesn't have the best reputation for spotting things, so she complained when we only turned around when Adam confirmed he saw the bear too.

We talked about going to Miette Hot Springs but it was late and everybody really just wanted more pizza from Famosa

There are a lot of hot springs in that area of Canada. Most of them just look like community swimming pools with concrete enclosures and we weren't interested in them, but we would have liked to have gone to some of the more rustic ones like Lussier Hot Springs
